Artist Commission: New Outdoor Work

Home Live Art and Applause Rural Touring invite established companies/artists with an interest in working outdoors and/or interactively to apply for a new commission.

This is an exciting opportunity to create an outdoor work to be performed in 2020 at the Knotty Festival of Performance in Hastings and be part of the Applause Rural Touring Programme throughout the South East of England.

We are looking for companies/artists that are interested in creating bold and thought-provoking work that will engage audiences in new and exciting ways.

It can be a totally new idea or the development/up-scaling of a past project.

We encourage artists from a wide-range of disciplines to apply – including live art, cabaret, activism, experimental theatre, installation, dance, sound and visual art.

Commission Outline
– Development Fee of up to £4000
– One performance at Knotty Festival, Hastings in June 2020
– Minimum of at least 5 bookings on the Applause Rural Touring Outdoor Programme 2020
