home London
home produces
large scale cutting edge performance events in a wide variety of London
venues ranging from swimming pools, to parks, to pubs, to stately
homes, to museums and major institutions. (See performance archive
and forthcoming for full details)
We also have our own venue in south London which housed our innovative
salon series (2000-2005). This dedicated live art space remains a
site for unique one off performances and home
commissioned projects. Please contact us with interesting proposals.
home venue
home was
launched in 1998 as a radical new performance art space based in the
family home of artist curator Laura Godfrey Isaacs and structural
designer Glen Haddon.
Rather than clearing the rooms so they operate as
a white space, artists make use of the living environment of the
house to inform, inspire and provide a context for their work. As
a result, every piece is an original experience.
Over 50 performance events have taken place at the
house and almost every room has been used. The venue provides a
unique, intimate and informal viewing experience for the audience.
There is an absence of the boundaries and protocols of gallery or
theatre in this specific domestic environment, allowing a close
interaction between audience and performer.
Private Hire
This imaginatively renovated domestic venue provides a unique location
for film and
photography shoots.
