In Conversations with Friends, guests are welcomed into the comfort of the family home and invited to relax in an armchair as they strike up a conversation with the artist. They can enjoy the ritual pleasantries on meeting a new acquaintance, discussing the delights of everyday events and passing time over the discourse of idle chatter. During this meeting, Caroline will use her speaking mouth in an attempt to record the conversation photographically asking her guests to allow their portrait to be taken in a very intimate way. |
