A Right Song and Dance at Kingswood House

A two week residency at the Kingswood House estate, Sydenham Hill, resulted in a Right Song and Dance with Ida Barr, the creation of award winning artist Christopher Green.

Creatively uniting community groups across the estate, Ida brought them all together to perform a cabaret style Mash Up featuring Ida Barr’s Kingswood Estate scratch choir, and local community performance groups Moving Into Age, The Movement Factory and Telegraph Choir.

A truly heartwarming free event saw a packed out Kingswood House, the estate’s beautiful community centre, filled with an intergenerational, multicultural audience and an enthused scratch choir mashing it up together along with tea, cakes and much laughter in the Ida Barr fashion!

Scratch choir participants include groups from Kingswood House, Dulwich Helpline, Kingswood Community Shop, Stepping Stones and Langbourne Primary School.
