Knotty Festival 2019
When: 6 — 10 June 2019
Where: Hastings
The first ever Knotty Festival of Performance took place from 6-10 June 2019 (with a special warm-up event on 30 May).
Happening across a wide-range of locations in Hastings and Bexhill (including a theatre, a hidden garden, an arts centre, a gallery space and a party bar) Knotty presented a unique and adventurous festival of performance from some of the most bold and original artists working in the UK today.
From a subversive re-enactment of the New Testament to Afrofuturism and the cult of Grace Jones the artists in the festival were not only asking us to question the world we live in right now but were actively trying to create spaces that reimagines and redefines our future.
