Naomi Dines Exhibition
When: October 21 – November 19 2000
In Whole, a series of interrelated works seek to inhabit the space of the house, cohabiting with its usual occupants whilst quietly revealing the private, unselfconscious moment which has been trapped in the reflective glare of the TV screen, the secret object left out by accident, the door to a private space left open by mistake… hybrid, humanised objects which slip in amongst the existing functional and decorative artefacts, images which effect momentary illusions of another kind of domesticity, installations that become inseparable from the fabric of the building and its everyday uses.
