This year Home Live Art are delighted to be bringing the Knotty Festival to Folkestone on Saturday 15 June 2019 for a special day-long festival of performance.

Happening across a wide-range of locations Knotty will present a unique programme of performance from some of the most bold and original artists working in the UK today.

An opportunity to experience new work developed by the artists Rubiane Maia and Emilio Rojas during their month long artist residency at ]performance s p a c e [.

Reid Dudley-Peirson: Virtual-Work-in-Progress

The Glassworks, Mill Bay | 3-6pm

A virtual reality performance from queer sound and video artist Reid Dudley-Peirson, for one audience member at a time, exploring humanity’s relationship with AI.

Catherine Hoffmann, Andre Verissimo & Ernst Fischer: Soup Opera

Flat B, 55 Tontine Street | 2pm and 4-4.30pm

Relax on the sofa (+ a few additional chairs) as the heated Soup Opera unfolds in the kitchen of flat B. There will be songs, food and of course domestic tension to slurp up.

This will be a return of episode one: The coriander crisis ( why do you always have to leave?).

Exploring recent genetics research this performance will collectively measure the psychological impact of interspecies hybridity via the half-zebra/half-deer animal the Deerbra.

Salty: Queer Performance Party

Secret Folkestone Location | 9pm-late

Salty is an inclusive space for LGBTQ+ folk and their allies to come together, dance, have fun, and enjoy some unforgettable queer performance.

So join us for cabaret-style performances from some of the most exciting queer artists working in the South East and beyond.

Featuring live performances from Sex Music, Ginny Lemon and Miss Di Vour.
