Lemons, Laws and Lairs
Lemons, Laws, and Lairs:
A Queer D&D Adventure
A Hastings Queer History Collective Event
Details and tickets coming soon.
An evening of queer history, fantasy and mischief in a live Dungeons & Dragons adventure.
Lemons, Laws & Lairs is an improvised storytelling D&D game inspired by the 2026 exhibition Lemons, Laws & Secret Doors, which explores queer lives in Hastings, past and present.
If you’ve never seen D&D before, think of it as part theatre, part game. Performers create a story together in real time, making choices and rolling dice to see what happens next.
For this special edition, local performers will take on the roles of historical icons, reimagined through a queer fantasy lens. They’ll roll, improvise, and laugh their way through a two-hour tale, full of heroics and humour, and the occasional chaotic dice roll.
No knowledge of D&D is needed – just come and watch the story unfold.
Presented by the Realms of Elgebetequia Dungeons & Dragons group in collaboration with the Hastings Queer History Collective.
